Neurofeedback at Home

Neurofeedback at home – with the guidance and support of an experienced practitioner – is an option for some people with some conditions.

The biggest challenge patients find with neurofeedback is the time it takes. The best results usually come when you have two to three sessions per week, but finding the time for that number of appointments is difficult. Home-based neurofeedback, including some self-managed sessions, is an effective solution for some conditions.

What conditions are suitable for treatment with neurofeedback at home?

Neurofeedback at home is especially effective for conditions such as anxiety, insomnia and ADHD.

If you’re considering neurofeedback to help you achieve peak performance, this is another area where a home-based program can work well.

How our home-based neurofeedback program works

We start by scheduling a fee-free video call to discuss your situation and determine whether neurofeedback at home is suitable for you.

We start by setting everything up. That includes:

  • Delivering the neurofeedback equipment to your home. We use Muse headsets, along with external electrodes and conductive paste.
  • Creating a customised training program for you. This takes account of your current brain state and your training goals.
  • Training you on how to use the equipment.
  • Running a demo session with a neurofeedback practitioner managing your treatment remotely. The practitioner is also able to answer any remaining questions you have and troubleshoot issues with unfamiliar equipment.

Once you’re up and running, you simply schedule two to three sessions a week, whenever is convenient for you.

Every two weeks, you have a video session with your practitioner. This means we can:

  • Monitor progress
  • Check and resolve any issues
  • Adjust your treatment protocol if necessary
